Here are the top stories in Tampa today:

1. This month is National Manatee Awareness Month and in recognition the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has released its 2022-23 manatee decals. Sea turtle decals are also available. Manatees have long been a symbol of Florida and the Tampa Bay area with the Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach. (Tampa Patch)

2. A Frontier Airlines flight from Cincinnati to Tampa on Friday night was diverted to Atlanta after a passenger on the plane was discovered to be in possession of a box cutter. The FBI and the Atlanta Police Department detained the suspect, according to authorities. (Subscription: Tampa Bay Times)

3. Homosassa businesswoman Diana Finegan has been elected to Citrus County Commission District 2 after victory last Tuesday. Finegan won with 78 percent of the vote against a candidate who many believed to be a ghost candidate. (Florida Politics)

4. Duckweed, one of Tampa's popular local markets, is opening a shop on Davis Island at 302 East Davis Boulevard. The urban local grocery also offers delivery using their Duck Dash Delivery app and has several options including dairy products, light bites, vegan options, and more. 5. Cushman & Wakefield has announced the sale of Hampton Oaks and Center Point at the tune of $74.34 million. “Hampton Oaks and Center Point are both well located, high-quality light industrial parks in Tampa’s predominant East Side submarket. Both have high historical occupancy rates and are well positioned for future success,” said Brugge, Vice Chair at Cushman & Wakefield. (Tampa Bay Newswire)
